By using Hummonic you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

What Hummonic is

Hummonic is a songwriting tool: it suggests chords, generates melodies and lyrics with AI, listens to your playing, and helps you practice. It is provided for personal, creative use.

Hummonic uses AI

Artificial intelligence is central to Hummonic: chord suggestions, melodies, basslines, drum parts, lyrics, translations, and song analysis are generated by AI models (including models operated by Anthropic, DeepSeek, and Google). AI output is generated fresh and not copied from existing songs, but no AI system can guarantee its output is entirely original or free of resemblance to existing works. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated material and for clearing any necessary rights before publishing, distributing, or commercially releasing anything created with Hummonic.

Your music is yours

You own everything you create with Hummonic — chords, melodies, lyrics, recordings, and songs. Hummonic claims no rights to your work, subject to the terms of the underlying AI providers.

Your use is your responsibility

Hummonic is a tool, like a recorder or a mixing desk. You alone are responsible for how you use it and for the content you create, upload, or process with it, including compliance with copyright and all other laws. In particular:

Only upload or process audio you own or have the legal right to use. Stem separation and transcription are provided for practice and study of music you lawfully possess — not for redistributing, sampling, or commercially exploiting other people's recordings.
Don't use Hummonic to create or distribute content that is unlawful or infringes any third party's rights.
Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.

Hummonic and its operator are not liable for any unlawful use of the service by users, including copyright infringement arising from content users upload, process, or publish. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hummonic and its operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your content or your use of the service. If we receive a valid infringement notice regarding user content, we may remove it and may suspend the responsible account.

Accounts

You're responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You can delete your account and data at any time (see the Privacy Policy).

The honest disclaimers

Hummonic is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI output can be wrong, weird, or unmusical — review before relying on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hummonic's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the past twelve months (which may be zero).

Changes
